Article-: First Day on the HCG Diet

Today was my first day on my 25 day HCG diet. I'm taking HCG Diet Direct's homeopathic HCG weight loss formula and following their homeopathic HCG protocol. It wasn't bad! It was pretty fun, actually. But then I'll need to clarify that the first two days are loading days.

Loading day means that you're supposed to eat a LOT of calories and aim for fatty foods. So I have to say that was a nice send off to a very low calorie diet. Maybe by the time I'm done cramming tons of high calorie, fatty foods in my belly I'll be so sick that I'll be ready to eat a very small amount of very healthy food for the next 25 days. It's a theory, anyway.

According to the homeopathic HCG protocol the loading days have a purpose other than as a great send off for the low cal days to follow. They give the body time to absorb the HCG. Even during the loading days you are required to take your HCG three time per day. I took mine morning, lunch and evening. You can't eat or drink before or after you take it for 15 minutes and you have to hold it under your tongue for 15 seconds before you swallow it and go on about your day. I didn't have a hard time remembering it, but it was only the first day.

You have to store the homeopathic HCG weight loss formula in a cool place. That little requirement could be problematic if you need to transport it (to work or on a trip, etc.) but since it's winter I don't foresee a problem. Even if I do have to transport it somewhere...it's still going to be in a cool place. That's just a little side thought; a bonus for doing the HCG diet in the winter!

My routine on the first day was really quite simple. I got out of bed. I weighed myself and noted down I was at 170. I took my HCG and my B-Total (and additional vitamin supplement I bought from HCG Diet Direct). Then I went ahead and made sure that ate frequently throughout the day. I also made sure to enjoy a few of my all time favorites that are going to be definite "no-no's" while on the diet.

So now my first day on the HCG diet is finished. I wrote my weight down on a notepad I keep on my nightstand so that I can add to it each morning. I followed the rules when it came to taking the HCG formula three times each day and I ate a lot of fatty foods. So for today; I've been successful. It's HERE...HCG Arrived on Day 10

It's heeee-rrrrre. The package arrived today. It only took a few days, but to me it seemed like ages! I'm not known for my patience. Now I can stop trying to figure out the rules and oral HCG protocol on my own and actually get the real stuff directly from the included handbook. What a relief. This also means that I'm actually going to be dieting soon instead of just thinking about it and writing about it, but since I'm going to think positively I'll just repeat again that I can do it and move on.

I called to see if my HCG buddy, Lisa, got her package today, as well, but she didn't. And while getting my a day earlier than her makes me feel a little bit special it's really not going to effect our "bet" because we're still both going to start on the same day. We're both going to be following the same oral HCG protocol. And while we're discussing the oral HCG protocol...sorry about my mental collapse yesterday. I've since sworn that I will no longer haunt the HCG forums looking for trouble. I'm going to patiently wait and adhere to the rules as presented in my oral HCG protocol handbook rather than get myself all worried and confused by the jumbled info I was gathering from various blogs and forums yesterday.

So now it's here and it's time to get serious about all this HCG business. The actual homeopathic HCG weight loss formula seems pretty easy to deal with. All I have to do is use the oral dropper/syringe thing to put the designated amount under my tongue 3 times each day. Each time I hold it there for 15 seconds and then swallow it. I can't eat or drink anything for 15 minutes before or after I take the formula. And those are the only requirements for the formula. I can definitely do that.

The B-Total I ordered is a once a day thing. It's actually called a vitamin supplement on the bottle and it's got its own dropper. I'm looking forward to what the manufacturer calls liquid energy. It sounds like a magic potion that would be discussed in one of the Harry Potter books or something. Who doesn't want some "liquid energy" on hand? So back to reality...you take this once a day. And you hold it under you tongue for 30 seconds before swallowing it. And the only other instruction for the B-Total product is to shake it well. And I can definitely do that; no problem.

And as an added bonus (I love added bonuses) it seems that the B-Total can be taken during periods of stress or heightened physical activity as needed. That's actually included in the description on the bottle. It sounded like a fabulous little vitamin supplement to keep around even when you're not dieting. I just might order myself a stockpile if it works as good as they say it does!

Now that I'm shared with you the beginnings of my "package is here" frenzy I'm off to dive in to the oral HCG protocol that was included. I can't wait to get all the rules straight in my head so I can quit worrying about it. Watch for more info tomorrow in Article 11! - 17274
