How to Boost Your Metabolism and Immune System With Noni

By Lenette Nakauchi

Island Fire is a proprietary Noni juice product from Elements for Life. It is a raw, unpasteurized, Noni elixir with no added fruit juices or fruit sugars. Considered by health experts such as David Wolfe and Steve Adler to be the best Noni product on the market, it consists of Tahitian Noni, ginger, Hawaiian Turmeric, cayenne, lemon, apple cider vinegar, and trace minerals (both from colloidal, and plant and ocean-sourced ionic minerals). A shot or two in the morning will really get your metabolism and taste buds going! This is a daily health tonic focused on rejuvenation, detoxification, superior energy, good mood, and overall health.

David Wolfe, world authority on raw foods and superfoods, has referred to Noni as his favorites food and fruit of all time. The fruit is found all over the island of Hawaii and other tropical environments. For 15 years now, various companies have been trying to get Noni products out to people. But unfortunately, almost all Noni juices have been pasteurized and have added fruit juices and this undoes most, if not all, of the benefits of Noni.

For thousands of years Noni has been used in Polynesian culture, and is known in Polynesian lore to be a cure-all food. Noni contains has the highest natural concentration of polysaccharides than any other plant species. Polysaccharides are a type of complex sugar that stimulates the immune system to be more resistant to immune system disorders. As we learn more about this, the future of nutrition may one day lie in polysaccharides. Noni also contains a tremendous amount of the beauty mineral sulfur, which is especially good for our hair, skin, and nails.

Noni can assist in boosting your immune system defense due to its powerful anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties, similar to those found in garlic and coconut oil. There is only one gram of natural sugar per 1 ounce serving of Island Fire so there is no spike in blood sugar with an ounce or two. Instead, it can deliver long lasting energy that supports your immune system. And because this is a live unpasteurized product, it is enzyme active. There are actually over 140 bio-active enzymes here. Enzymes are vital for our energy and health. They are the workers that break down the food we eat into nutrient and waste, they deliver the nutrients to our cells, the unlock the energy for use in our body, and they enable our five senses. This is all very important!

Turmeric and Ginger are what make this Island Fire Noni Elixir stand out even more above the rest as a powerful superfood. Turmeric is a wonderful antioxidant (it is bright orange in color) as well as the greatest anti-inflammatory in the Ayurvedic system. This means it can help reduce joint inflammation if you're injured or perhaps after an intense workout. The added ginger is also great for muscle recovery because of its sulfur and sulfur-bearing proteins. Because of gingers ability as a plant to collect large amounts of sulfur, when we ingest it, it helps protect us from the sun, free radical damage, and wrinkling. It also helps rejuvenate our skin.

Island Fire Noni Elixir is a powerful tonic to use in supporting your overall health, immune system, and energy. The smell and taste can be quite interesting as first but can grow on you the more you drink it. If you've ever taken a shot of liquor before, you can definitely handle Noni though! You can sip Island Fire alone or on ice, just like you would a cocktail, you can take a straight shot of it in the morning to get your metabolism and energy going, you could even mix it with some coconut water or soaked and blended goji berries to sweeten it up naturally. It's wonderful that Elements for Life has come up with such a healthy way to make Noni juice taste good though. Enjoy this one of a kind superfood Elixir. - 17274

Stackers, are they worth the money?

By Rossane B.

Some of the first stacker fat burners available on the market were the Original Stacker 2 and Stacker 2 Lite. These products contain ephedra, which is the key ingredient in the stacker fat burner. An additional name for stacker fat burners is ECA stacks because they contain ephedra, caffeine and aspirin.

Stacker Fat Burners are highly effective weight loss aides because of the way that they work. They decrease your appetite and control your food cravings. You will have fewer cravings and you will be less inclined to eat fatty and unhealthy foods. Stacker fat burners are also called ECA stackers as they contain ephedra, caffeine and aspirin. Ephedra is the main active ingredient and its activity is enhanced by the presence of caffeine.

Stacker fat burners cause weight loss by decreasing your calorie intake and suppressing your appetite. They also can control your cravings, which is the difficult part for many individuals who are trying to lose weight. Stacker fat burners also make you uninterested in high fat food so you are also decreasing your fat consumption. Besides effectively decreasing your appetite stacker fat burners also inhibit fat storage in your body.

Stacker fat burners are thermogenic as they raise your bodies' temperature to convert your stored fat into usable energy. By using the fat in your body you will feel less hungry and quickly lose weight.

Stackers fat burners also contain additional compounds that assist in fat burning like Chitosin. As with many dieting aids there are some side effects, particularly with products that contain ephedra. You should remember that not everyone experiences side effects, as everyone is different. If you are allergic to shellfish then you shouldn't take any products with chitosin as chitosin comes from shellfish.

Ephedra does affect some individuals and some known side effects are, loss of appetite, increased blood pressure, restlessness, hyper-activity, nervousness, insomnia, excitement, dizziness, and increased heart rate. As with every drug just because there are side effects does not mean you will experience any. Each individual is different and some may or may not have side effects. Stacker fat burners can also boost your energy. If you are concerned about side effects then you should speak with your doctor.

To maximize your weight loss effort and keep the weight off you will need to make some life style changes. You will need to change your eating habits to decrease high fatty foods and increase low fat and high fiber foods, particularly fruits and vegetables. If you aren't willing to change your eating and exercise habits then you will probably gain the weight back after your lose it. Stacker fat burners were first popular with body builders but have since become a popular diet aid for all.

Because of the effects of ephedra more stacker fat burners that do not contain ephedra have been developed. Some ephedra free products are Stacker 2, Hydroxycut, Xenadrine Trimspa, Ripped fuel, Metabolife and more. Some ephedra-free products work by increasing your thyroid gland hormone products, which triggers weight loss. These ephedra free products to work but do not have the effectiveness of ephedra products. You will still lose weight, just not quite as quickly as with an ephedra product. You may be able to make life style changes first and then see if you should take a stacker fat burner. - 17274

Does Fish Oils and Cod Liver Oils Differ From Each Other?

By Michael Byrd

So how does fish oil differ from cod liver oil? The answer is simple and it is here.

You need both of them for good health. Fish oil provides you with omega 3 fatty acids while cod liver oil gives you vitamins A and D.

But because these two oils are complex topics and all the hype may easily fool na?ve people, the topic needs to be discussed thoroughly.

Omega 3 in fish oils is beneficial to the heart. It is also good for relief of joint pains and brain development. Cod liver oil on the other hand helps to boost the immune system, enhances good eyesight and is good for bone protection.

But, to benefit your health and your pockets, we must discuss this topic further.

Manufacturers of cod liver oils may promote their products like its fish oil and tell you that you get the same benefits when actually you don't. So you have to be extra careful.

Some nasty retailers can in fact get way with selling products that fall short of what it can actually offer. It is important to be informed so we won't fall prey to them.

What you need to do is learn how to read the labels, and you will never be deceived again.

Once you see "Fish Oils" as the source, it would usually refer to just any fish. So that means you are not sure if you are getting the right fish oil. That would be a big problem.

Not all fish are created equal, and not all have sufficient amounts of omega 3 oil.

Take this example: Salmon and mackerel are some of the highest sources of omega 3 fatty acids, while flounder and haddock barely have it.

If a manufacturer refuses to disclose its source, there is a big chance you may be getting the oil from fish with little or no omega 3 at all.

And would that be good for you?

Also, you will only know that it's a good fish if you are already familiar with the species. When the source is a good one, the company will be proud of it and put it on their labels.

Would you agree to that?

Some nasty companies use bottom feeders, junk fish and scavengers ? those are the types of fish left over after all the good ones have been picked up. Chances are you'll get toxins and heavy metals with it.

And by the way, there is even something much worse than "fish oils" as source. Some use "marine lipids" for omega 3. Well you may not have a clue what this source is and it may not even be a fish!

Know that not all marine creatures are edible.

When purchasing cod liver oil, you should know the source. So you better find a reputable brand.

Be conscious of the sources of fish oil. The best sources of omega 3 are salmon, tuna, sardines, anchovies and herring.

Now that you are aware of the difference between the two ? fish oil and cod liver oils, remember this.

When purchasing fish oil supplement, go for the one that names the specific specie of the source of fish oil ? like Salmon Oil. Avoid buying products with labels that indicate "fish oil" or "marine lipid". - 17274
