There are so many factors in getting you muscles to grow other than just working out. Most people think that all they have to do is go to the gym a few times a week and they will achieve their fitness goals.

Having a bad or inconsistent sleeping pattern can cause you to lose results in the gym. Getting a good workout in the gym is not the only thing that sleep affects in your daily routine. Lack of sleep can cause you to not have the energy to do your normal things during the day, and will set you back tremendously. So the worst thing you can do for you body is not sleep, or have an inconsistent sleeping pattern.

Why is sleep so important for bodybuilding? There are actually several reasons why sleep is so important to be successful at bodybuilding.

When you lift weights there is a considerable amount of damage done, and the body uses sleep as a chance to repair itself. Your muscles when lifting will get microscopic tears and when they heal they grow. So getting rest is very important to making sure your body can heal itself.

Without enough of this quality rest, simply put, your body won't have enough time or availability to repair old muscle and build new muscle. You will be severely inhibiting your gains by not allowing your muscles to heal, mend and grow properly.

The energy that is consumed while working out is extreme, and if you do not get sleep you will go to the gym tired, leaving you with little results. When you start going to the gym tired it will no longer be fun and you will start taking days off.

You can have the best intentions in the world, but if you get in the gym and you can't visualize the exercises you are going to do and you can't focus on moving from one to the next, you aren't going to get a great workout.

Then at the same time, you may not even have the physical energy or motivation required to get a good weightlifting session in to begin with. There's only so much your body can handle over the course of a day with a tiny amount of sleep. And after, work, school, family commitments and anything else you may be dealing with, working out to your full potential is often what remains undone.

Finally, the unseen reason why sleep is so important for great bodybuilding results is that sleeping restores and maintains a natural rhythm with your body's hormones.

One of the biggest things in bodybuilding is your body's ability to burn fat constantly. This requires you to have a high metabolism. When you sleep your body releases some hormones into your bloodstream that are essential for proper metabolism.

The primary thing you have to think about when it comes to sleep is making sure that you have consistency. Only sleeping for 4 hours one night, then trying to make up for it the next night with 12, is not the same thing as sleeping both nights at 8 hours.

So as you can see a good sleeping pattern is very important for bodybuilding. So set yourself up with a plan to sleep the same amount every night and do your best to stick with it, and you should see a significant increase in your workouts. - 17274

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, now is the time to get ourselves motivated to loose those unwanted pounds! I do not think we understand the cost of obesity in this nation. It is killing us both financially and physically.

I am not talking about the cost of food but of the billions of dollars that are being used to treat obesity. Obesity increases your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and some types of cancer. Two thirds of Americans adults are obese.

Let me say it another way, 6 out of every 10 Americans are obese and that number doesn't even include our children. America, we need to change and change now. I'm not talking about super model skinny either, but having a healthy body weight and a BMI between 20 and 25.

This message is for me as much as anyone else. My husband and I had lost around 40 pounds total and it felt so good. After we got a taste of being thinner, we got a little lazy with our exercise and eating plan.

Now, we have gained a some of the pounds back and unless we turn this boat around, we will both be back up to where we first started. It is a never ending struggle but one we have no plans to give up on. If you are overweight, then you aren't exercising enough and you are consuming too many calories. It's that simple.

What do we do with that information? The answer is not what you would think though. Instead of eating less food, you need to eat food with fiber that will give you the feeling of being full. Whole grains, vegetables, and fruits contain a lot of fiber so I recommend that you get 3 servings of whole grains and 5 to 9 servings of vegetables and fruits every day.

Here are some more weight loss tips:

* Drink non fat milk, zero calories beverages and plenty of water.

* Don't rush when eating your meal. When you realize that you are full STOP and push away your plate.

* If you go out to dinner, put half of your meal in a to-go container before you even start eating.

* Never skip meals - always have some vegetables, piece of fruit, or lean protein nearby.

* Get rid of all processed and high calorie foods in your house. It will be harder to eat them if they are not readily available.

* Write down everything you eat in a given day - You will be amazed how quickly you've forgotten what you at in the morning at the end of the day.

* Start exercising - run or walk at least 30 minutes every day.

Does this sound too hard or complicated? No, it is so easy but it all depends on your mindset. Go ahead and get started today. Change one meal, one day at a time. One small change is all it takes to get off the ground. Instead of an all-or-nothing approach at this, it is instead slow and steady. After all, this is a lifestyle change. Cordyceps sinensis is a minute fungus that sprouts out of caterpillar carcasses at high altitudes of the Tibetan plateau. We will begin with learning the science behind how to build bigger muscle. When you exercise, the heavy weights that the body lifts put tears in the muscles. Rest, especially a good night's sleep, help restore and build up the tissue to endure the stress put upon it-hence the bigger muscles that physical training results in. Here is an effective weight lifting workout designed to help your body pack on the muscles you've always wanted.

Before you train, always do a minimum of 10 to 30 minute aerobic exercise to get your blood flowing to your heart, lungs and muscle tissues. Warm up and stretching, increases your body's temperature, preparing your body for the physical stress it is about to endure in the next hour or so. Stretching between sets is helpful, especially in easing muscle soreness in the next few days.

You will find an assortment of machines and drills that you can utilize for your training. The important thing is to strategize and plan your training and establish the frequency, reps/sets and weights you will be using to fully maximize the muscle groups you exercise on any given day.

Beginners should do around 2 to 3 sets of 12 reps of lower weight loads. The weight should be heavy enough that the target muscle will be unable to lift the weight after the 12th repetition. Experiment on what this would be for you. If your goal is to build bigger muscle, take only 60 to 90 seconds of rest in between sets.

Experienced trainers will suggest a two to four day training to maximize your work out sessions-allowing you to focus and work hard on specific muscle groups on certain days. Try dividing between your upper (back, chest, arms, shoulders) and lower (legs, stomach) body if that works for you. You can also train muscle groups that work together on the same days. Remember to exercise according to the size; start with the larger muscles first before proceeding with the smaller ones.

These are some drills you can use for your workout: Stomach- crunches and leg raises Arms- dips, close-grip bench press and barbell curls Shoulders- dumbbell rear felt flyes and military press (standing and sitting) Back- lat pull downs,T-bar rows and deadlifts Chest- barbell bench press, decline bench press and incline bench press Legs- lunges, leg presses and squats

Drink 10 to 12 glasses of water especially during workout sessions so that you won't be dehydrated as you train. Always make time for cooling down and stretching after training.
