Are You Struggling With Fat Burning Diets?

By Cody Campbell

Do any of the diets online today live up to their claims on burning stubborn body fat? Depending on who you talk to will depend on what type of an answer you will receive. Some health care professionals will tell you that all of these fat loss diets are just fads and the creators are just out to take your money while others will tell you to find one of these diets and stick with it because they work if you follow them. So why are there so many people on both sides of the fence? Honestly it has a lot to do with their personal understanding of how their body digests food and how the body uses up energy in the whole digestive process.

One of the main misconceptions that people make today is the process of how the body burns calories. Most people think that the body only burns calories when they are exercising or performing physical activities. This is the main reason why there is so much debatable information on this subject. A lot of people don't understand that our bodies need to burn calories to breath, for the heart to pump the blood around the body, and even to digest the last meal we ate. Although it's safe to say that our bodies will not burn 2,500 calories in the digestion of our last meal. It is safe to say that our body will burn different variations of calories for the different variations of food we eat. This is the basis of the whole understanding of negative burning foods.

So you might be asking how this actually works. Well let's say that you eat a piece of food that is roughly 110 calories. Now when your body digests this piece of food it requires 135 calories to digest it. So even though you have eaten something that is 110 calories your body required 135 calories on order to digest it. Your body needed an additional 25 calories in order to digest the piece of food that you ate. So it's safe to say that if you ate more of these negative burning foods you would naturally start to drop off body fat as your body would need to burn body fat for the additional calories needed to digest the negative foods you eat. Does this really work?

It is possible and it does work. But there are a few things that you have to take into account when you are looking at starting a fat burning diet like this. You have to understand that you aren't going to eat 5,200 calories a day and not do any physical activity and expect a body builder physique. It simply doesn't work that way and anyone that tries to tell you that it does is trying to scam you. So how then are you to get the results that you are after with a fat burning diet and see some impressive results?

All you have to do is add negative calorie foods to your diet plan. Foods such as lean meats (chicken), low fat yogurt and apples are a few of the most popular negative burning calorie food choices on the internet today. So if you're goal here is to lose weight, then adding these types of foods to your diet make perfect sense. That being said if you are looking for fast results I would recommend that you eat a diet full of negative burning foods as well as implement a weight training routine or muscle building routine for faster and optimal results.

The added exercise will also contribute greatly to the number of calories you burn since they will also expedite the metabolism. With such a revved up metabolism, it would be pretty hard not to experience a decent drop in one's body weight. - 17274

Still Rolling on HCG...Day 16!

By Amelia Handley

Day 16 on the HCG Diet. That means I've only less than 10 days left on the low calorie portion of the diet. Just to recap in case some of you are just joining us or in case some of you are forgetful: the diet starts off with 2 days of loading. Loading is taking in as much fatty calories as possible. This increases the absorption of the HCG into the body. After loading the very low calorie diet begins (500 calories per day). This lasts for 23 more days.

After the 23rd day on the very low calorie diet comes the HCG maintenance diet. I'm kind of big on preparation (or some might call it unnecessary torture since I don't really have to worry about this extension of the diet for quite a bit). During the HCG maintenance diet you can eat as much food of any type of food you choose (up to 1500 calories per day). There are, of course, some heft exceptions to this eat anything rule. During the HCG maintenance diet you cannot eat: sugar, dextrose, sucrose, honey, molasses, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, starch of any kind, artificial sweeteners, fast food, trans fat, and nitrites.

Whew! That's quite the list I thought. So while the food intake is going to jump considerably I have to point out that I'm still going to be feeling strapped when it comes to what I can and can't eat. But that's just me. And I'm getting accustomed to the feeling. It's not too bad; especially when my weight is going down so drastically.

So that's a general recap for you; now let's move on to the details of day 16. I was at 156 this morning when I weighed. That's exactly the same as yesterday which is a bummer because I ate really well yesterday. I decided that I'd add some green tea to today's regimen in response (still don't like it, but it seems to work) and I tried to drink more water.

I took my drops (both HCG and B-Total) as required throughout the day. I don't think the timing is that difficult. It sounded annoying at first, but 15 minutes of no food/drink before and after isn't really that big of a deal. I go 15 minutes without food/drink all the time.

Today I ate another green onion burger for lunch (leftovers) with the other half of the grapefruit I had yesterday and Melba Toasts. For dinner I had the last of the grilled chicken I had in the fridge (leftovers again). And I drank so much water that I was afraid I might make myself throw up. So I'm crossing my fingers that tomorrow I'll see weight loss again. - 17274

Why Man Boobs Is Common In Preteens Younger Then 18

By Dustin Fennell

Why gynecomastia is common in boys younger than 17: Gynecomastia is a condition that produces "man boobs" in men. The chest area stores abnormally large amounts of fat tissue, making the man appear to have breasts like a woman. This condition is common in teenage boys. In many cases, it goes away within a couple of years.

It is unknown the exact cause of gynecomastia. Each individual case is unique. But it is safe to say that in young boys, it is almost always hormonal. The nipples become puffy and large, the breast grows abnormally large, etc. Studies show that 30-60% of young boys suffer from this condition. Most recover from it.

In boys that are overweight, having large breasts with excessive fat in the chest area seems natural. But when the boy loses the weight everywhere else except on his chest, it can be a problem. He might start feeling self conscious and embarrassed. Give him 100% of your emotional support. He is feeling vulnerable. It is important for them to fit in. There will be girls that he will want to impress. At that age, girls is one of the priorities. And having man boobs can hinder his confidence in talking with a girl he likes.

Preteen and adolescence can be a tough time for a young boy. It is the time when most boys feel self conscious. Life can be confusing. It is already hard enough to try to fit in and finding out who you are. But dealing with such a problem can be brutal and add to the pain. Kids can be cruel. Boys with abnormally large breasts can be the target for teasing and ridiculing. This can be emotionally traumatizing for a young boy.

Gym class is the worst. When changing clothes in public with other boys, having large breasts can be humiliating. Boys with the condition have admitted to being offered bras, having their breasts squeezed in ridiculed, and constantly mocked. Some even considered suicide because the emotional pain was so unbearable. They can not even wear regular clothes. Going out in public takes a long time because they need to find the right attire to hide their man boobs.

Losing weight can help shrink the fat around the breast. But sometimes, it does not help. Wait a few years before considering surgery. If the decision to have surgery is made, be sure to have the doctor know of any other medical conditions that are present. When the man boobs disappear, self confidence will be gained.

Sometimes, the hormonal changes are all part of the cycle of puberty. All boys go through it. When he reaches maturity, his hormones will get balanced and the problem of having breasts will clear on its own. But if it does not, then it may be time for considering surgery. But be patient and wait it out first. No guy wants to have man breasts. But sometimes the surgery may be totally unnecessary when the problem is going to go away on its own anyhow.

Certain medical conditions and/or medications that are taken can be causing the condition. It is important that the doctor know all the medical history and medications taken to help find the best solution. - 17274
