Following the HCG Protocol for Weight Loss: Article 11
Alright. So I told you yesterday that the package arrived. I told you about the products included. And I left you hanging with the promise that today I would share with you what was included in the HCG protocol for weight loss Instructional book. So here goes!
It starts off with a little bit of info about the HCG diet in general. It basically went over the basics outlining my (and probably your) negative relationship with food and the reasons for it (society, bad habits, convenience foods, etc). Then it went over how following the HCG protocol for weight loss changes that relationship. It discusses the HCG's interactions with the body and how the lack of appropriate HCG levels in our bodies has created an obesity issue in a large portion of today's society.
It continues with some general advice. One specific piece of advice was not to be surprised by no weight loss one day followed by drastic drops the next day. This is due to the way HCG interacts with the body. Empty fat cells are often filled with water prior to being absorbed and the body simply does it on its own time. So water retention may deflect the weight loss temporarily.
Another good section to discover in the book was the Helpful Hints and Products section. One helpful hint was to avoid salt. It apparently increases your probability to retain water. It also suggested that you can't use lotions and moisturizers on the HCG diet. They've got oils and fats in them that negate your purpose. And another helpful hint was buffalo. They said it's a very healthy meat and that you should check at your local health food store to see if they carry it. It will give you a bit of extra variety between your steak, chicken and fish.
Then they got down and dirty with the actual HCG protocol for weight loss. And yes...they did outlaw diet soda. Apparently due to the type of sweetener used it isn't allowed on the diet. Dang it! There's also no gum or mints. And as I already mentioned...there are no lotions or moisturizers allowed. You also cannot have any butter, oil or dressings that contain any oil or fat (which is almost all of them ever created, let me assure you). You also have to refrain from eating and drinking for 15 minutes before you take the drops and 15 minutes after you take the drops each time you take them throughout the day (once in the morning, once mid day and once in the evening).
There were many more helpful hints and I'm sure I'll share some more. You'll have to keep reading the upcoming articles outlining my progress on the HCG diet. It should get even more exciting here soon. I start the day before Thanksgiving! - 17274
