Compression and elevation work together to cause the blood to drain out from the injured areas. Following this procedure can not only help to prevent further damage to the tissue, it can also help to heal the damage that has already been done.

Citrus fruit eaten every day can help to support the capillaries and prevent their breaking which causes bruising. Stronger capillaries can take a blow without breaking and bleeding. In addition the additional vitamin C can also help to speed healing of your body. A daily dose of citrus fruit is instrumental in preventing and healing of bruises.
