Use The Acai Berry In Moderation

The acai berry has been touted as the world's greatest "superfood" and it has been attributed with many amazing claims from weight loss to cancer prevention and even anti-aging.

Several of these claims may be somewhat inflated as there is not one "miracle" food that supercedes all others but the fact is that there are actually many, many "miraculous" foods and the acai berry is just one of them.

The acai berry does have some of the highest antioxidant qualities found on the planet. It has double as many antioxidants as blueberries and even 10 times as many as red grapes. Not only that but it also has a good supply of monounsaturated fats and essential fatty acids in the forms of oleic acid and Omega 3, 6 and 9. It is also loaded with healthy dietary fiber and phytosterols.

All in all the acai berry is an awfully healthy and nutritious food loaded with antioxidants and several of the other nutrients that our bodies crave and need to function at an optimal level. However this berry and the products made from this berry are not the miracle answer to your anti-aging, fat fighting, and disease prevention pursuit for great health.

In reality, it has been found that while it is possible to get antioxidants and other nutrients from supplements it is far superior to get your nutrients from your diet. All nutrients including antioxidants, essential fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins and all the others work best when the synergy of many nutrients work together in concert. In other words, when it comes to nutrition the synergy of the whole is far superior to the singularity of just one.

In order to receive the uppermost benefit from the acai berry it needs to be included as part of a balanced, very nutritious diet plan that includes lots of other high antioxidant foods including blueberries, pumpkin, spinach, kale, pomegranate, sweet potatoes and even more as the list of healthy, extremely nutritious foods goes on and on.
