Walking regularly can easily lead to weight loss. Ever wonder why people in cities like New York weigh less than the rest of suburban America? It all has to do with the fact that they walk places that others might drive to.

You can also use the time to do things you might not normally have the time to do. Make some phone calls to friends you rarely speak to while you walk, or use the time to think about things you normally don't have the time for.

Another great means of creatively burning off some calories is to clean your house or apartment. By cleaning, you'll naturally accomplish two things. First and foremost, you'll have a cleaner place to show for it.

You'd be surprised by how many calories a cleaning job can burn, especially if you're doing it on a regular basis.
