HCG: Sample Recipes
Prospective HCG program users often ask for sample recipes they can try to get an idea of what they're signing up for! So to accommodate frequent requests we're willing to provide sample recipes; just a few classics that suit the program. We urge all of our dieters to become accustomed to as many of the recipes as they can so that they have a variety of tastes and flavors while on the diet. It makes things just that much more enjoyable.
Sample Recipe #1: Chicken Marinara
You'll need:
chicken (approx. 100 grams)
tomato (just one, diced)
garlic (3 cloves, minced)
salt and pepper (a dash of each)
garlic powder (a dash)
chili powder (half a tsp)
basil (one tsp)
oregano (one tsp)
Simple directions:
Oven should be preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place half of the tomatoes at the bottom of the casserole dish followed by the chicken after it has been seared for a couple minutes on each side with the benefit of garlic powder, salt and pepper. When you add the chicken to the casserole dish also add the garlic (minced). In a separate, small bowl you should toss the remaining tomatoes with the oregano, basil and chili powder. Place the tossed ingredients over the chicken in the casserole. Cover the casserole dish and cook it for 50 to 60 minutes. Serve it warm and enjoy!
Sample Recipe #2: Turkey and Tomato Soup
List of ingredients:
turkey, 100 grams, cooked
tomatoes, 2 cans stewed or crushed (preferably of the organic variety)
garlic, 3 cloves, crushed
red wine vinegar, 2 teaspoons
parsley, just a pinch
cumin, just a pinch
basil, just a pinch
rosemary, just a pinch
red pepper flakes, just a pinch
Simple directions:
Cook tomatoes, garlic and all seasonings (just a pinch) in a pot for five minutes. Throw in the turkey and bring it to a boil, cooking for another 5 to 10 minutes after it hits a rolling boil. Turn off the heat and serve the soup warm. Enjoy!
Trying out 2 recipes might not give you an all inclusive idea of what to expect on the program, but it will give you an idea of what's possible. And what's possible is that you can eat healthy and still enjoy what you're eating. The HCG program is a weight loss program so fudge and cheesecake aren't on the menu...but you'll be surprised at how much you like what is on the menu! - 17274
