Antioxidant Drinks - Upgrade to a Healthier Cup of Joe

By Kathryn Barry

Antioxidant Drinks include one of Americas if not the whole world's favorite drink - Coffee. If you're like most Americans or heck most people, you like to start your day off with a great tasting cup of coffee. Most people have come to rely on this stimulant to get them ready for their long day of tasks.

Unfortunately, coffee does come with quite a lot of drawbacks. Caffeine is one of the main problems because of its over-stimulating effects on your nervous system and then of course there are digestive system issues because of the acidity that comes with that morning cup of coffee.

One of the redeeming qualities of coffee is that quality coffee contains a sufficient amount of nutrients called antioxidants.

What's so Great about Antioxidants?

Antioxidants consist of a group of substances such as vitamins, minerals, flavonoids, enzymes and amino acids that prevent cell oxidation and thus prevent damage to your healthy cells.

Free radicals harm our bodies and antioxidants have the ability to stop these damaging substances.

When we expose ourselves to toxic chemicals, radiation, pesticides, and drugs such as alcohol and caffeine, free radicals will be created in our bodies.

Antioxidants work by donating an electron to convert free radicals to harmless molecules. This donation of an electron by antioxidants protects your cells from oxidative damage that leads to aging and various diseases.

Antioxidant Drinks Joins with a Medicinal Mushroom

A new coffee called "Healthy Coffee" has emerged on the scene and this coffee comes with one of the most powerful herbs in the world - The Reishi Mushroom.

Traditional Chinese Medicine employed the use of the Reishi Mushroom to help keep its royalty healthy. This herb has a 2000 to 4000 year tract record and has helped with numerous ailments.

The Chinese name for this mushroom is Ling Zhi and it means "Herb of Spiritual Potency" and has also been described as the "Mushroom of Immortality".

The reishi mushroom contains over 200 nutrients and a wealth of antioxidants. It has a reputation for fixing such ailments as Diabetes, Heart Problems, and Ulcers to name just a few.

This medicinal mushroom helps your body remove the build-up of toxins and allows your body's natural immune system to strengthen itself.

Healthy Coffee versus Regular Coffee

Triterpenoids found in Healthy Coffee boost your body's ability to digest food. Regular coffee often interferes with your digestive system.

Keeping a more alkaline pH balance is important in maintaining your health and healthy coffee contains alkaloids that help to keep acidity down.

The side effects of too much caffeine wears down your adrenal system and the adaptogens found in healthy coffee are good at helping your system to bounce back.

My Very Own Experience

You may forget how many side effects come with drinking regular coffee when you make the switch, but you will be reminded every time you run out and resort to drinking the old coffee again. Two days is all it takes for me to feel just awful.

I live in a place with some of the most sought after coffee and still can't drink the stuff!

This coffee will give you a energy boost, but not stimulate your nervous system to death. It is such a different feeling that I was under the impression that it contained almost no caffeine.

Sometimes I have to work late into the night and crave some extra energy. I'm actually able to get away with drinking a cup of this coffee late in the evening and still getting a good night's sleep.

Healthy Coffee is one of the most powerful antioxidant drinks and really does help with the acidity problem. It doesn't seem to upset my digestion like drinking regular coffee surely will.

It's also one of the smoothest tasting coffees and you won't have that lingering coffee bad breath or bad taste left in your mouth.

Have your coffee and drink it too. This coffee gives you the coffee experience without so much the coffee problems. It is worth giving it a try. - 17274
