What Is MMS and What Can It Do for You?

By Lee Jacobs

MMS is the popular term given to a product and protocol that was initially put together by a man named Jim Humble. Briefly, Jim made the discovery whilst being on a gold finding expedition a number of years ago, in which two of the expedition members were struck down with a serious bout of Malaria. With the nearest help being at least two days away by foot, Jim had little alternative but to share the remaining quantity of his personal supply of liquid oxygen with them - and in less than 4 hours later, both men were up celebrating their recent return to health. Upon returning home, Jim furthered his understanding of this molecule, delving deeper into the actual mechanics of the compound itself.

Onto the science of MMS.

The active constituent of MMS is actually not the sodium chlorite, or more commonly known as liquid oxygen, but rather the small amounts of chlorine dioxide found within it. When sodium chlorite is mixed with a pre determined quantity of citric acid (or activator), within the space of three minutes a liberal amount of chlorine dioxide is produced.

When you look at the chlorine dioxide molecule, you can easily mistake its chlorine part for what is more commonly known as chlorine gas. Nonetheless, chlorine is found in nature in large quantities, and most often it is bound to sodium, which gives us table salt.

In fact, chlorine gas that is composed of two oxygen ions and a chlorine ion.

Chlorine dioxide is a powerful agent of oxidization, actively accepting electrons from other molecules more commonly known as "electron donors." At this stage, it's important to note, almost all pathogenic stressors are electron donors. This is why healthy tissue within the body is usually not touched by the chlorine dioxide compound.

Chlorine dioxide has actually been used within the industry for a good 60 years as a water purifier. The EPA has approved it (as of several decades ago) because it can remove deadly pathogen like anthrax from our water supply. This is further proof that chlorine dioxide is an effective pathogen destroyer. And unlike chlorine, the compound breaks down into harmless byproducts of carbon dioxide and water. Chlorine itself takes much longer to break down, and that's not its only problem. It also has byproducts that can be carcinogenic.

Chlorine dioxide is a highly volatile substance, and must be created "on - site". That is why it is transported in the more benign state of sodium chlorite. Within the last few years it has become accepted within the water purification industry that this is a much more preferable molecule to use, and chlorine is now being systematically replaced across the country.

Jim Humble's final solution of MMS is composed of 28% of sodium chlorite in a mix of distilled water. Chlorine dioxide can be thus manufactured on site by mixing 5 drops of citric acid activator with 1 drop of MMS solution (sodium chlorite).

By having your very own supply of sodium chlorite and appropriate activator on hand, which is entirely safe to transport, you can have your very own pathogen killer and water purifier with you regardless of where you may happen to find yourself.
