Every bride wants to look her best for her big day and nothing can boost her self-confidence like shaving off a few pounds to make that dress fit even better. So, if this is you, then here are few tips to help you achieve your goal.

Losing weight takes more than just a week or two of dieting. Just as planning the wedding itself takes time, so does preparing your body. Shedding weight quickly is more often than not unhealthy, and you will frequently regain the lost weight in less than a month.

Any so-called magic pills which purport to help you get rid of twenty pounds in just one week are costly, unrealistic, and might even hurt you. Weight loss is like marriage; it's a life-time commitment. The last thing you want after losing weight is to gain it back quickly just a few months later. If you're a soda drinker, try drinking water instead. You should be drinking 8 glasses of water a day. This will help you be less hungry so that your calorie intake at meals will be smaller.

Reduce your sugar and salt consumption. This can be especially hard if you're a junk food addict. Salt may cause bloating and make it more difficult for your body to eliminate harmful toxins. Eat foods high in fiber and low in fat, instead. Make a difference in your calorie intake with whole grains, low-fat dairy, and lean protein these things will help you lose weight.

You don't have to deprive yourself all the time. Choose one day per week that you can have some of your favorite foods. Hopefully, this will boost your metabolism, and you will lose even more weight the next day when you return to your normal eating habits.

Even though you are planning your wedding, you still have time to eat healthily and to exercise. You don't have to work out at the gym every day, you can find your exercise in other ways, too.
