Fast Weight Loss Diets - Which One Of These Will Strip Away Fat At Supersonic Speeds?

By Chris J. Foley

Who on earth would wish to lose weight slowly? Nobody as far as I know. That's why it's important to be aware of the fast weight loss diets that can help you to reach your target weight and get rid of the excess fat. Let's look closer and discover the best diets giving the greatest permanent weight loss.

The Cabbage Soup Diet

The idea with this diet is to eat what is a very low calorie vegetable as your main food ingredient. It lasts a total of seven days altogether.

The biggest problem with this diet is that most of the fat lost is just water. Sure, you can lose about 10 pounds in just a single week but after that you put it straight back on.

But when you consider everything, this diet is OK as it's designed to be followed only for a week. Do not go any longer than that or you will risk malnutrition.

The Low GI Diet

The glycemic index of any type of food is how quickly it delivers the energy it provides. With this diet you eat more of the more healthy low GI foods.

In reality this is a pretty decent diet. By eliminating or limiting refined foods like candies and white bread, you will therefore not get the blood sugar drops that lead to quickly becoming very hungry.

In conclusion I like the rationale behind this diet but there is a disadvantage. The weight loss that you get will not be anywhere near as fast as other diets can give you.

My Diet

This summer, I lost a total of 44 pounds in 4 months. The amazing thing about it was how I achieved it.

First, I looked at my hunger. It is there to help me and not to defeat me. So I stopped eating when I no longer felt the hunger and I only ate meals if I definitely did feel hunger.

Secondly, I now eat better than before. I get a good breakfast every morning consisting of low GI foods and fruit. I'm no vegetarian though and I can still eat junk food whenever I feel like it. - 17274
